Spokane Dentist Continues to Fight for His Reputation Amid Ongoing Allegations

Spokane, WA – Dec 2023 – Dr. Sandy Montano, a well-known dentist in Spokane County, remains steadfast in his efforts to clear his name following allegations related to sanitation and infection control.

As part of the ongoing investigation, the Dental Quality Assurance Commission has required Dr. Montano to undergo a mental and physical evaluation to determine his fitness to continue practicing. However, Dr. Montano has concerns about the potential bias in this evaluation and has proactively sought an independent assessment to ensure fairness and transparency.
Dr. Montano has always maintained that the allegations brought against him are retaliatory, stemming from his recent actions to address financial misconduct by former employees. Despite these challenges, he remains committed to proving his ability to continue providing high-quality dental care to his patients.

"I am fully committed to my profession and my patients," said Dr. Montano. "While I understand the need for thorough evaluation, I believe that an unbiased, independent assessment is crucial to ensure the integrity of this process. At the time of the initial inspection, I was feeling unsafe."

To this end, Dr. Montano has voluntarily undergone an independent mental and physical evaluation by a certified professional not associated with the Dental Commission. The completion of this evaluation has encountered delays due to issues surrounding the payment plan for the service.

"I have always been willing to comply with necessary procedures, but it's important that these evaluations are conducted fairly and without prejudice," added Dr. Montano. "I am working diligently to resolve the financial aspects so that the independent evaluation can be finalized, and I can present this evidence to clear my name."

Dr. Montano is also exploring all legal avenues to ensure that the evaluation process is conducted in a manner that is both fair and impartial. His dedication to his practice and his patients remains unwavering, and he looks forward to resuming his duties once his name is cleared.
In the meantime, Dr. Montano continues to work with legal counsel and healthcare professionals to address the allegations and protect his professional reputation. He remains confident that once all facts are presented, the truth will prevail.
